Still buying courses one at a time?

Training is required by law, and it is rarely the course that is the problem. It is everything around it.

  • Every new starter means a new course order and a new invoice.
  • Certificates live in a binder, an inbox and a spreadsheet – and it is never the same spreadsheet.
  • It is only when the client or the Labour Inspection Authority asks that anyone finds out who is missing what.
  • Foreign workers need training in a language they understand.

Before and after

Questions and answers

What does it cost?

Samsvara costs NOK 999 a month for up to 5 users, and NOK 99 for each user above that, excl. VAT. With a 12-month commitment the price is the same, and all 25 courses are included. Pay for a year at a time and you get a 20% discount – also with every course. The price is the same however many courses you take.

Are the courses included in every agreement?

No. The course library is included when you commit for 12 months or pay for a year. Monthly with no lock-in gives you the whole quality system, but not the courses – and you can switch to a commitment or annual payment at any time.

What does a 12-month commitment mean?

That you commit for 12 months, invoiced monthly. If you cancel before the commitment ends, you keep full access and are invoiced monthly until it does. After that the agreement continues month by month, with the courses, and with no new commitment.

How do we get access to the courses?

When you have chosen a commitment or annual payment under Settings → Subscription, every course opens in Samsvara straight away – for all employees, under Courses in the menu. They take them on mobile or PC, at their own pace, and pick up where they left off.

Which languages are the courses in?

All 25 courses are available in Norwegian. 9 of them are also available in English, 7 in Polish, 7 in Romanian and 5 in Lithuanian. Each course lists the languages it is available in.

Are the courses approved by the Labour Inspection Authority?

The Labour Inspection Authority does not approve individual courses. What matters in an inspection is that the training has been completed, fits the work and is documented. The courses are based on the regulations listed under each course, and a passed course gives a certificate you can show.

What happens to the courses if we cancel?

The courses follow the subscription. If you cancel, employees can take courses for as long as the subscription runs – to the end of the commitment or the year you have paid for. The certificates you have earned are yours: they are kept under Competence and can be downloaded as PDF.
